Philips has always offered good quality and clear picture TVs; the 52in LCD follows that trend, the Philips 52PFL9632D with a 1920 x 1080 resolution gives full HD in all its glory, it incorporates the Perfect Pixel HD Engine for sharper crisper images, the colours are vibrant and convincing blacks levels add to the list of good points, there is also the two-channel Ambilight that takes the dominant colours on the left and right portions of the screen and then shines a light onto the wall behind the TV, Philips say it improves picture quality and reduces eye strain, the visual performance of this LCD is what you would expect and the Ambilight adds that little extra something, it produces stunning images that are not only crisp but natural and believable. Overall this is another success from Philips and another great looking and performing large screen LCD TV, if you have not seen a Philips performance or the Ambilight feature before it is worth going down to the local Debenhams lcd tv store or the Philips LCD TV store and take a look at it. It is a very good piece of technology with everything you would want from a full HD large screen TV.
